IADA New AD Cohort

The 2026–2027 New AD Cohort is a yearlong professional development experience designed to support new and aspiring athletic directors as they build the skills needed to successfully lead an athletic department. Each monthly session will focus on practical strategies, resources, and conversations that participants can immediately apply in their programs.

All sessions will be held from 1:00–2:00 PM.

• January 14, 2027 — Legal Issues, Risk Management & Compliance
• February 11, 2027 — Hiring, Supervising & Evaluating Coaches
• March 11, 2027 — Budgeting & Financial Management
• April 8, 2027 — Communication & Conflict Resolution
• May 13, 2027 — Building & Sustaining a Winning Culture

Throughout the year, participants will learn from experienced athletic administrators, collaborate with colleagues from across the state, and develop practical systems and strategies to help them confidently lead their athletic programs.
